The transformation

From a dusty page
to a scene you can feel.

This is a real page from a 140-year-old copy of Goody Two-Shoes. Drag the slider and watch it become a living illustration, ready for a narrator to bring it home.

  • Every scene is drawn fresh for your story
  • Characters keep the same face from first frame to last
  • Narration matched word for word, with captions

Character consistency

Same hero. Every single scene.

Every character gets a portrait before a single scene is drawn, so Goody looks like Goody from her first step to her wedding day. That's the difference between a slideshow and a story people binge.

Why it feels different

Not a slideshow with a robot voice.
A story, told well.

A narrator with feelings

Hushed for secrets, solemn for loss, bright for the happy ending. The voice follows the mood of every line.

A recurring cast

Faces, outfits and props stay consistent, so viewers fall for your characters.

Any language, natively

Narration in the book's own language, from English and Hindi to Spanish and French.

Once upon a time…

You stay the director

Approve the story, the cast, the voice and the visuals. Nothing ships without your yes.

Captions that pop

Word-by-word highlighted captions keep viewers watching with the sound off.

Non-fiction, storified

Philosophy, science and history become parables and explainers with a beginning, a middle and an end. Big ideas, finally easy to watch.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Still curious? Join the waitlist and reply to the welcome email. A real human reads every one.

Can I really publish videos made from classic books?

Yes, as long as the book is in the public domain. Storybook Studio helps you find openly licensed books and shows each one's licence, so you know what you can publish. You can also upload books you own the rights to.

Who owns the videos I make?

You do. Download them, post them, monetise them. There's no watermark on founder plans.

Which languages are supported?

Narration is generated in the book's own language. English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German and many more are supported, with more added all the time.

Do I need any editing skills?

None. You approve the story, cast and voice at a few simple checkpoints, and finished videos come out the other end, captions and all.

Can I use my own manuscript?

Absolutely. Upload a PDF, Word document or plain-text file and it's treated just like a library book.

What about non-fiction?

Non-fiction gets its own treatment: clear explainers, or "storified" parables with an invented cast that make big ideas stick.
